TS, when u call the police, they will look into this matter as it is serious. they will go around asking for eye-witnesses i believe. u can of cos make a report on her behalf, but the police might need your daughter to make a statement. i'm not sure about that though. -

TS, you should mak e a police report. I do not see why you should post a topic here but not make a poilce report. The mistake that victims tend to make is not to report. Then when a few other girls are molested, it is inevitably left to one of the girls to be brave enough to make a report.
I empathise with you but at the same time am left disappointed that you choose to remain silent to the police but vent here .What can we do? We can only comment but it solves nothing.

As a first step, you are already able to derive that he is 20+, wear purple T-shirt, jeans and cap? Did your daughter tell you that> If so, then it is a good 1st step. Also, i think you mentioned, he have not touched her right? He tried to but she managed to run. Go to the police if you are really trying to help your daughter. Do not let her grow up with this on her mind and the cuplrit on the loose.

Your girl is only 11 and for serious matters like this, you cannot "respect her decision", like if she tells you "I don't want to go to school anymore" do you also "respect her decision"?
Just explain to her why you must report this matter (the molester must be caught and punished for breaking the law, to prevent him from frightening other kids like her.... ) and be firm about it.

Every once in a while, we hear of such cases. I really feel sorry for the poor kid. Their life is scarred because a sick coward molester picked on a defenceless child to satisfy their desires. The incident will remain in the child's mind and continue to haunt them indefinitely.More severe punishment should be meted to punish such culprits and at the same time, discourage any would-be child molesters.Sorry to hear about your girl's misfortune. Hope she gets over it soon.
