Just wanted to highlight to all members of star cruise to be careful when making bookings with them via their membership hotline. What happened to me was that I made a booking with them on 07th April for the cruise on 10th June. I was informed that I have 120 pts expiring on 31st May. As I needed 70 pts for the cruise, the agent told me that she will deduct 70 pts out of the 120 pts expiring. This will leave me a bal of appro. 25 pts. I was shocked to learn on the cruise that star cruises only deducted my pts after the expiry date, resulting in me having -46 pts in my card now. When I lodged the complaint to star cruises via their membership hotline, I was informed that they are unable to do anything for me as the agent who booked my cruise has left the company. I feel that I am being treated unfairly. Hence, I would like to warn all those members of star cruise to be careful when using their points to do the bookings.
