Does that means you passed only 5 "O" lvl subjects?
Why don't you read up on poly courses and try taking up one which you are interested in and also which you believe you will be able to enter?
You can also try ITE if you are more of the hands-on type, but do not go there with the thinking that you can slack all the way.
Also, there are a few private institutes in Singapore which gives out Diplomas recognised by the local unis, so you might want to try them out.
Do your L1R4 qualified to apply for one of the many courses in the polytechnics? Try applying first because afterall the Singapore education is much more recognise than the private educational provider.
I think all poly courses requires at least a C6 in maths. English can be D7 but i think maths for all courses requires C6 at least but not sure since its ages since i see the cutoff. Do check on the minimum requirement for all the courses and if you do want to further study, i would say maths is a very important subject that many courses require you to at least have basic knowledge in.
Yes, i passed onl 5 Os. Fail maths cnt go poly alrdy right? Which priv institutions in sg r recognised by local unis?

Is there any recognised by local uni? Maybe the dips from the larger overseas universities might be recognised but will still be inferior to the local dips mostly
can u tell me wats ur grade for maths?
u fail maths u are not left with much options
For poyly, i suggest u take landscape architecture or those course that are arcthitecture because these are the course that accept maths d7
if u got E8 or F9 u are only left with ITE
Maths is like fundamental to many fields. If you go without maths, you are severely reducing what you are able to do in the future.
what for i take architecture when i not interested in it at all?

then go retake and do well for ur maths
well, you didnt even tell us what your interested in?
do you know what you like?
got one more option la, sign on in army lor
i am interested in IT, computing stuff
go ITE la..
seriously, the higher NITEC is something now.
company prefers hands-on candidate than theory applicant.
i would say ITE with IT courses?
i tot of going for ITE nite course but the duration was long, so i didnt and moreover im not very young.
go ITE webby..
Go ITE.. But like others said, if you don't have maths you are severly limiting yourself buddy. Why not just struggle a bit and get your maths O level? It is easy and attainable. You just have to practise. Don't give up just becoz you failed it once.
After that, you can go ITE or even apply for polys in some of their IT courses and eventually do certifications so that you make yourself "enriched"..
And please do not think that IT has nothing to do with maths. IT is in fact entirely based on mathematics. Of course you won't get to directly fiddle with maths but you will come in touch definitely with maths somewhere along the line. You can't completely avoid it..
since when is geek cool....
rich maybe... but cool? who u trying to convince?
its not tt i dun wanna retake maths. its juz tt i nid to waste a year juz for maths? how can it be man...somemore there's the long wait for the results and all.

If it takes 1 yr to do ur maths, u can still do part time work etc to earn abit of cash.
Its better than going to ITE waste 2 yrs then go poly from there
is it realli the wise choice to go retake maths. i mean i still nid to worri and wait for the results and all. what if still fail? then wasted

Maths is essential in most dip courses so you won't really go wrong in retaking your maths. This time you will only have to focus on 1 subject rather than all so you will have more time to focus on your maths.
If you still worry, go get a tuition teacher to guide you further.
i hate maths...
never get a pass since sec 3..

One of the better and cheaper ones for local private institutes. But it won't get you a place in local unis.
If you want diplomas which are more recognised and can compete to a certain extent with local polys ( though you will still get the shorter end of the stick ), check these two out :

The downside is that they do not offer IT diplomas.
