What happen in the past before spectacles was invented?
How did the people at that time see things clearly when their eye degree increases?
use magnifying glass?
pinch their eyeballs so the distorted shape of their eyeballs restore their vision
same technique used by the modern sleep contact lens.
neither do they have tv then to "destroy" our vision.

they get pounced upon by tigers, bears, lions, crocs, whatever, and die ......
or they fall into a bog, a hole, or off a cliff ... and die ...
yes, life was much more darwinian then .....
they married ugly men and handsome men take on ugly gals
less technology in the past.... like computer, games, etc....
less ple kena short-sighted.

The eye degree of these people just keep increasing until they become technically blind. There was nothing much anyone can do.
There wasn't any herbs etc that could help reduce the degree in the eye?

Ya. But that time no electricity also. Have to use candles at night can't see clearly. So eye degree also will increase alot too
that time they didnt have computers or television to weaken their eyesight in the first place! besides that their diets were natural foods rather then Mcdonalds and other processed fast foods that dont do your health any good! Thus there would be much less people with poor vision!
They just walk closer to the object they want to see la...
my wild guess is... they zzz early and woke up early... only the really hardworking ones studied in the moonlight/use candles.. so most of them had gd eyesight...
everywhere around them got trees n green plants... gd for eyes... now only buildings n roads n some pathetic tiny plants that line the streets...
on top of that, they did a lot of farming/gardening... self-sufficient supply of herbs for eyes n body.. the women dont work then so they spent hrs brewing herbal soup... healthy and inexpensive...
life wasnt so stressful then... stress affects health... including eyesight i think...
not forgetting bks, tv, psp, computer, etc...
ozone layer almost gone so more powerful rays... spoil our eyes..
the list goes on..
conclusion: life was certainly less complex n less stressful then.. but more enjoyable with greater entertainment such as ktv and wii now..
try to enjoy our era while we are still here... lol
the ancient people eyesight are so much better than us.
they have no radiation exposure from TV, movies, computers etc.
