  i have a malay friend who is fat and when in the MRT someone offered the seat to her thinking she was pregnant. We didn't know how to react but she took the seat to prevent further embarrassment. i was trying hard not to laugh but i cannot help but to burst into laughter on the spot. I'm not trying to say it's bad.. it's really nice of the person to offer the seat. =) I guess accident sometimes happened. I guess maybe most Singaporeans MIGHT be afraid of offering their seats to the wrong people. Who knows. =x for me i'll just ask "hi do you need the seat?" I guess it'll be more of a general way of asking.
