Free SMS Hoax?

  Hi all, I recently received the following sms. I've tried to do an internet search but nothing turned up. I suspect it is simply a hoax. Can someone verify? Thanks. The SMS goes like this: Today is the day when singtel, m1 and starhub celebrate the mark of singaporeans sending a total of 60 billions local messages. Forward this message to 10 person and you will have $49 of outgoing calls free!!! After so, you may check your phone bill to verify.

  It is definitely a hoax.

  The reason is that these 3 companies have never collaborated together before.

  I received that and i told my friend it was a hoax. how could they have a promotion and not let their customer know?
