I've been havingirregular menstrual period and my doctor recommended me contraceptive pills for a week.
Which means i'll be on medication for a week. Is it possible to have any side effects during this one week, example, weight gain? I've heard about weight gain but it normally happens for long-term medication like a month.

The best person you should ask is your gynae.
As far as I know there is always side effect when consuming contraceptive, but I do not know what side effect your particular contraceptive will cause.
The common side effect is put on weight.
