i will be ending my ns this year on dec. i enlisted wif onli o lvl failed maths. then i intend to retake maths next yr and find work also. my parents tell me to make decision then i told them alrdy.
then now they keep telling me to go this go tt. my father ask me go sim look but the problem is yes there is course but o lvl but onli 1 which is dip in biz mgt but i am not interested. so sim is out
then my mum ask me go find other sch. ok then i retake maths for what. they want me go look for course and retake maths at the same time. whats the point. if i retake maths the purpose is to go poly right. then what for i go private dip? waste money and time right. besides, enroll into private dip dun require maths.
this is so contradicting. at first they sae muz make plan for future. my decision. then now i make alrdy they take it into their own stride and go ask pple this ask pple tt then kanna psycho. then now making me do things tt i dun wish to. y can't they respect me decision?
Are you absolutely sure that they are fully aware of your situation now?
It would definitely help if you explain why you are doing what you are doing and give them a chance to explain why they are doing what they are doing.
After that whatever you choose, make it known so that there wont be any misunderstandings. Its your choice, not someone elses.

Plenty of folks I know, retake their maths, take on private school diplomas and work part time, while serving their NS.
They worked and study and served NS and financed their education themselves.
I'm confused.

Yes, you can opt for poly, but will your 3 years be worth it as your maths foundation is weak.

u should go try char kuay teow, no need dip or ma or what every gong, just char kuay teow, no one is taking over the old char kuay teow uncle, try business ya. 7 bosses out of 10 in singapore dun even have o level.
TS..wat do u intend to do??get til a degree or jus get a damn dip and start work??
private dip offer a faster way than poly and you can work at the same time but its gonna be draining..if you intend to get a PT deg..you should just get into a ok private dip sch that allows you to get your dip fast..with the time and money saved.it can be brought over to get a better recognized degree..or u can do the same if u wann get a mba..

So even if your o levels didnt make it, that private dip can get you into uni or a better salary paid job.
But all those depends on how much your parents can still sponsor you for.

ya, you can also go and study how to be a property agent at the ERA, then competitive with those old agent, you are young, energetic and handsome, sure beat them, i can recommend many rich tai tais to buy from you. Then slowly you become the Property King of Singapore, and kick all these old lau lau money craving agents out of job
i suggest u retake ur o lvl math. to me o lvl cert is important and math is not like humanities. It's important.

The thing is, do you KNOW what you want to do?
If you have really made up your mind, then be persistent. Slowly they will respect your decision.

no need consecutive
Just take O lvl math and Private dip together. Cos eventually if u enroll into a degree after ur dip, u may still need a pass and above in math. Everyone can pass their math if they study. Just need one magic word: Focus!
If say u graduate from ur private dip by end of next year, u can start ur degree and probably even graduate from it by the time ur ex class mates get out of poly.
