** (Strictly no offence to anyone and especially ex cons) **
These days there are those yellow ribbon project for the ex cons, usually they will be stationed at shopping malls, MRT stations and crowded areas to ask people to buy a pen for donation. Well i have donated for abt 3 times so far, partly because i feel sorry for them, and i am doing it for charity. However i thik=nk that they might be abusing their rights.
The first 2 that i donated to were polite and kind. But the remainder 2 not so. The 3rd one i donated to was stationed outside the timezone arcade at tamp mall. After i donated i played initial D 4, and the next thing i knew was that ex con sitting opposite me and racing with me. How great is that
The 4th one was standing outside of the 7 eleven at eunos MRT, i was on my way to buy something to drink due to the hot weather and whole day without water. But was approached by her and she asked me to donate by buying a pen. It cost about $2+ and i only had abt $1.60, because im a student only, so i didnt donate, next she gave me some pissed off attitude and say OK NEVER MIND. And then i continued to buy myself a drink.
im too poor to even buy pencil lead.....so im using the old fashion pencils
$2 for that kind of pen is quite expensive, unless they sell those pens which prices are around that range
$2 can buy oreo ice blended![]()

i thought they are not suppose to go inside shopping malls to ask for donation?
kena once last year
at PS cartel
oni my (tupid) fren bought
$10 for 5 pens
none of the pens working
but tts besides the point
after tt i told him wat exactly is going on, he still like want to believe he done a good deed
so i let him be lah
there will such ppl around loh
The profits for the pen is paying for who ?
Is it for the organiser to work on the good will of local singaporeans again ?
hmm, i think every 2 dollar pen sold, 50c goes to the salesperson 1 dollar goes to the company that runs the show, then part of the rest goes towards paying for the ppl working at services sector for ex-cons. Last time i go interview part time ask me to sell pen for charity purpose... haha actually is company wanna make money for themselves instead lo.
aiyo... want donate, dun complain...
