  marina barrage shop have not much kites design. and some kites they sell are not able to fly. u can visit www.passionkites.com for larger and cute kites design. they have video on kites too...

  at sengkang, there's always this person flying an electronic kite WITH coloured LED lights blinking non stop late at night on a saturday. like 9pm-10pm.

  At first i tot it was an UFO! hahah. i mean, it lasts for like 45mins! how can the battery last so long with Led lights blinking non stop?

  furthermore, the kite was so high, it almost touches the moon lol. i mean it was really really high. cant explain :p

   

  anyway, kites can be bought at yishun safra.

  Yea go marina south, great place to fly kites and lots of kite shop.

  My dad used to take the family there on weekends and after a hearty meal of curry claypot chicken with bread, we took some time off to fly our kites

  I still remember my kite, it was a giant cloth orange kite with a Doraemon picture on it =)

  There used to be alot of paper kite stuck on the branches of the trees too....

  That was over fifteen years ago thou...not sure what that place is like now...

  Gonna visit it someday...

  chinatown has some shops at sago lane selling them. but i prefer changi village. kites ranging from fewn bucks to 30plus
