Mom is Eurasian-Portugese/Spanish descent.The usual Eurasian but not grago in Singapore.
She is not Filipino.
It's great she is going to represent Singapore.Do hope that Claire Lee will participate in another pageant next time.
Pilar is an interesting candidate and not the usual Chinese as when compared to beauty pageants from China/Korea/Japan,they will definately win.When competing with so many nationalities,definately need to send someone who can stand up on the same par with the rest.Ris Low or Claire Lee although pleasant looking in the eyes of Singaporeans will not be at all for the rest of the world.
So by sending Pilar,it will seem that Singapore has some standard.

No nothing to do with racism at all.To me it is just my observation whenever i see all the contestants from all over the world in Ms World.Also amongst all the candidates that participated in ms singapore this year,besides claire lee,felt she would be a good candidate.And when I imagine this Pilar on stage with other contestants,it just feels on par with the rest considering her looks and she seems to speak well.That's just my opinion.Also Singapore is multi-racial so it just refreshing to see a minority be Ms Singapore.Simple!If you think otherwise,that's your opinion.
