is this allowed?
Of course.
Except for some things such as tobacco, alcohol.
Maybe also some animal products, seeds, and so on.
Please check for more information.
But other products I believe is Ok.

Hi cactusjack,
You are allowed to do so only if the item is both legal and not restricted to a certain quantity.
Examples of restricted items will be Duty-free alcoholic Drinks and processed meat.
Do note that you are only allowed to carry up to 7kg of hand-luggage, and it has a size restriction on it as well. There is a weight and size limit for check-in luggage as well.
