Hi everyone,
I didn't do too well for my first degree at NUS (arts degree without honours) so I am thinking of doing another degree at SIM and work my ass hard to get a first class honours. I am looking at the SIM-UOL program as it allows for graduate entry.
Now I am wondering, how far does a SIM-UOL degree will get you, assuming its first class honours? Has anyone with 1st class gotten a job in MNCs or in goverment sector? Or has anyone with 1st class gotten a scholarship to study Masters?
Hope there is someone out there with such a record...otherwise, should I just save the money for my masters education directly?
Thanks for your help!
hi, i think if you really get a first class honours, it should not be a problem for you to get into a MNC...Government sector I am not sure, but it really depends on which sector?
SIM-UOL degree is not the same as NUS, NTU or SMU degree in the eyes of the employers.
SIM-UOL is viewed as an external degree.
So, even if it is a first class honours degree, it will not be viewed as comparable to a first class honours degree from NUS, NTU or SMU.
WHy get into MNC. It like a open war or contention with other.
You jump into the deep sea.lolz
Must well get into SMC. Governent sector why. People all wan to work in private u want governement. ??
Actually you must see what u want. Which market need talents now. Semicon no. Computer also no. I think u go be a teacher better. Nowadays people with master i think difficult to find job. They need experience too.
