Hi, just a few questions regarding customs regulations.
Are we not allowed to bring items like shampoo, shower foam, etc into the plane? If we checked them in, do we have to seal these in a ziplock bag?
How above plain water? Remembered I accidentally brought it at the final customs and had to discard it just last year. I heard that we can only check in empty bottles without a single drop of water. (not sure if info is accurate) Please advise.
Thank you.

Hi anpanman,
I believe tidbits are generally fine, as long as they are not in liquid or gel-like form.
Cheers.
hahas.. i working in airport for 3 years in F&B so we need to tell them cant bring LAG on board..
hahas.. erm u can just place everything like personal shampoo, cosmetic in side the checking luggage.. the best is u put in a bag lor.. just to prevent it from crack or what .. hahas.. but if u wanna bring on board u need a ziplock bag and inside could only have 1l of item.. but every bottle max is 100ML each .. lols =x=x
LAG = liquid, aerosol, gel
Always ALWAYS Seal your bottled of tubed stuff in a ziplock bag even if you are checking those items in.
I broke a big bottle of Starbucks Coffee Liquer in my check in luggage one time. My huge luggage stinks coffee to high heaven! And its not those luggage that you can wash and be done with it. Somehow, the smell of the liquer sank into the entire fabric & plastic of the luggage.
So generally, anything in bottles, be it shampoos, body washes or liquids. Seal in ziplock bags!
normally, I abit kiasu, if bringing such stuffs, I will put in ziplock, then ntuc plastic bags, then lastly, some tshirts to cushion.
as for plastic bags, they may be useful for the return trip, in putting in dirty clothes, slippers or etc. so "recycleable".
sorry, if I hijack thread.
Just..
its not Customs Regulation as TS mentioned.
its Airport enforcing a ICAO guideline.
