The Non-Alcoholic Blockhead

  Hi guys!

  I'm 16 this year and I believe that even though the legal age for consumption of alcohol in Singapore is 18, many people around my age have had tasted alcohol. Anyway, I was talking to my sis earlier on and somehow the conversation topic became focused on consumption of alcohol.

  Sis: Do your know your cousin started drinking alcohol when he was just 15?

  Me: Hahah, yea. I haven't even yet drunk a sip of it yet

  Sis: Tsk, you are forever such a blockhead and so "straight". Just resign to fate, I don't think you'll ever do things like drinking alcohol in the future.

  Well, is one considered a blockhead just because he/she doesn't consume alcohol? I don't have anything against alcohol / people who drink them, it's just that I'm not interested in taking the product. That's all. Is maturity only deemed by the evidence of one consuming alcohol? I kinda feel unjust by what my sis said, really.

  those are all alocoholic drinks too...just that the alcohol level varies....

  i do not drink alcohol at all

  in fact, for 30 years, not 1 drop has gone into my body

  Don't ever drink alcohol lar...not nice one...bitter bitter then expensive also, drink little not nice, drink alot then vomit out...waste money......drink plain water or coke or anything else...lol

  Er...alcoholic drinks are not all bitter. Go try wines, dessert wines and port wines. I used to drink alot and even drank atleast 1 beer a day. I wanted to try all kinds of alcohol. But now that I have tried most types...I have reached a point where no longer crave for it. I dun shun it or abstain 100%. I simply dun drink it unless its a social event where its appropriate to just have a glass. Thats fine.

  Alcholic drinks are to be enjoyed, not abused.

  A little is good, a little more does not mean better. In fact it gets worse.

  I seldom drink because I have the tendency to vomit after a mug of tiger beer and it makes my head spin.

  Not drinking alcohol does not make one a blockhead, and neither does drinking it makes one mature. 

  Please do pardon me for saying so, but if your sister really has such a mindset, she will be the one who is immature here.
