He also wears Salvatore Ferragamo shoes + Gucci watch, for which he does not want to divulge the price.
He's a freaking NS boy! and he's already spending like some towkay.
Day in, day out, the Straits Times, is writing about all these materialistic matters, like kids showing off what is in their bags, and hula! They have thousand dollar DSLR cameras in them, etc.
Straits Times is devoting much more of it's space on the priviledged, and is not playing much role on the social aspect of reporting.They are not reporting much on the ills of the society, such that everyone is aware and may contribute to making society a better place.
Instead, they are bombarding everyone, including impressionable youngsters, with all the materialistic views. Now youngsters feel that spending such amount on maintening the outlook is a must, else will lose-face.
If anyone is employing, you will notice now the system churns out youngsters with more style than substance. And they sort of behave like the company owes them a living. I will take a FT over a Singapore youth any time! And the Straits Times, being almost the only substantial English-language daily in SIngapore, will continue to foster this culture.
