Singaporeans complain they are poor because they can only afford hawker foods.If they are really poor, they should not waste food and finish it.Some even can afford a handphone and still complain poor.My Christian friend does not have a handphone and he do not complain he is poor.Go figure.

Singaporeans poor ? Ever since moving back from Toronto, all i see are Singaporeans spending money everywhere i go.. from Shopping centers to restaurants !

Poor or not poor depends on what you are talking about.....
I would say the true definition of wealth or poverty is the......availability of time... and freedom from stress....
Please note some people may have a home / shelter, can eat 3 times a day, can buy clothes and other secondary and tertiary materials, but they do not have enough time to spend on their family and personal interest.....
The home is on debt.....car is on debt.....stressful living.....only make birth to 1 or 2 child....this is abnormal in human history.

What is poor to you ? To be honest, i have not met more then 10 poor singaporeans in my life. But during my 4 year stay in Toronto, I've seen homeless, people begging for food, children not having anywhere to sleep...
Singaporeans who are poor are those that don't try hard enough really, i'm not pro PAP but hell, the govt has set it out easy for Singaporeans to make a decent living here. So don't lecture me on poor..

i totally agree ! singaporeans can't be poor at all... how many new cars have you seen on the roads ? how many singaporeans are using an iphone today ? banks are issuing out credit cards like it's free and singaporeans are still spending...
