i think they actually have solid proof that the PRC commie rats were trying to hack into gmail accounts of what the rats suspect are dissidents.. which makes a few million PRC people..
not only that, PRC has been involved in industrial espionage for ages..
anyway, people are starting to count the costs of doing business with PRC.. because they'll find rampant counterfeiting of their stuff (just ask Danone), discriminatory laws (again, ask Danone) and horrific levels of corruption..

The problems is that public hosting mail such as msn,yahoo,google has a privacy statement if that has been violated you can actually mount a class action suit i think there are potential legal implication from the web hosting....
why would that surprise anyone.....Singapore owned SME Tech companies has been over muscled by them for so many years....threats with clones and stuff....only our leaders kept pouring monies with them and not invest resources to protect SG innovation on intellectual property....rights.

Well this is my Take......If Google leave China and some jobs spill over to Singapore than it is a Gain for Singapore.
In this economics bad time where jobs are not easy to come by. I say this is a good thing. 1 job from Google in Sin is probably better than 10 underpaid job from IR that most probably would go to foreigners.
