Parents doctors but son a hawker?

Is this possible scenerio in singapore when both papa mama doctors but son can't study end up selling hokkien mee....

Btw if you and your spouse are doctors but got a hawker son, will you feel ashamed>?

The hawker son may just earn more money than his parents maybe even start a franchise

i'll be proud if he cooks food people loves and is earning a living. if he is living righteously there's nothing to be ashamed of.

Although just a hawker but you would never know maybe one day he will running a chain restaurant?

it's an honest way to earn a living...

No. It is not possible for papa mama to have a son selling hokkien mee since its Singapore. It is only possible for the lawyer papa to be a politician and the son selling mee siam mai hum since its Singapore. -

I know of a friend doctor but father is taxi driver... He's proud that his father raised him honest and well...

Why? Seems like TS put it that it is a shame to be a hawker. Hello, this is also a decent job, what is wrong to be a hawker? Hawkers don't go round, robbing, setting fire.

not all hawkers drive merc and live in condo, but quite a few of them do drive big cars and live in condo/private properties.
some hawkers really earned more than us working in office.
