  Singapore government always claim that Singapore is not a welfare state to prevent crotch mentality.

  Why does it expect its citizens to donate (to community chest, RenCi, NKF)?

  Shouldnt all charity organizations be illegal to be inline with the government's stand?

  SAY NO TO CHARITIES

  SAY NO TO DONATIONS

  SAY NO TO CROTCH MENTALITY

  No crotch mentality so makes their work easier, help them save money.     In Singapore it is a top down management.   WE the people are regarded as their employees though we are their bosses who feed them.   Without us it is impossible for them to pay themselves world class salary.

  Having said that, I believe Singaporeans are not too much to expect from help from the govt if it is within their own responsibility and capability to take care of themselves.
