You know the 5 million man (estimated figure) strong army of North Korea? One million plus active and four million plus in reserve, how would South Korea incorporate or dismantle this massive army especially when some 80% of North Korea is composed of mountains and uplands, separated by deep and narrow valleys, with all of the peninsula's mountains with elevations of 2000 meters or more located in North Korea. If these soldiers rebelled, they will wage guerrilla warfare. But if they unite peacefully, it would be an example for other nations who face the same situation.
South Korea will lose big time if unify. North Korea has nothing whereas S Korea's economy boomz!!!!
1 other thing. Whos gonna govern the country? Kim Jong Il or Lee Myung Bak? Kim looks more fierce...

Ya, I bet South Koreans will lament about how they have to support the North and the North Koreans will be displease with how the South kept complaining about them...will take a long time to resovle matters like this.
I'm looking forward more to an election for the president of an united Korea than either one take the president office...

I think most of the current noised made by North korea is not about communism vs democracy as you would like to argue but infact it is gear towards more domestics of peaceful support of leadership renewal.....
North korea leadership changed this morning channelnewsasia goes all the way to annouced that the 3rd son is to take over as premier.....which is in his late 20s commanding of 5.5 million north korean soldier........I hope he does not feel that he has to impress his senior military general by firing missiles.....

how many missiles xcan they send over to south koreaq...after the 100th missile...they would already have ran out of solid rocket fuel.
