Does all shops in SG accept cash payment?I heard apple does not accept cash payments for their iphone i don't know the exact reasons behind that.I would properly try to go for M1,Starhub or Singtel if apple stores does not accept cash payment.I was told that not accepting cash payment is illegel so im wondering did apple contact their lawyers before making this decision.Forget about that,I am here to ask whether does all BHG department stores in SG accept cash payment?Im entering colledge soon, properly applying for credit cards which will make my shopping payment much easier as i will not have to hold on to loads of cash.I would really appreciate if you mind telling me about the payments available at all BHG department stores in SG.
this is the first time i heard of shops rejecting cash payments.

Not allowing cash as legal tender is illegal
"Legal Tender For all Debts, Public and Private." Unless THEY changed the law, CASH MUST be accepted as a means for buying ANYthing.
This message can be found at most forum sites just google "apple rejects cash payments for iphone."
is it u purchased it online one de?
Not online,i tried calling the helpline as i don't believe it too. They don't accept cash payments at their outlets. It is happening at the US,I didn't try going to their outlets I just called the helpline and they said they had some reasons for not accepting cash...something to do with people reselling the iphone. In my mind i was thinking was does reselling the iphone got to do with not accepting cash payment?I had not yet tell them about the laws of legel tender, they probaby had already knew it.
I dunno
it's like Govt offices these days, no physical legal tender, only NETS or Cashcard

There must be some reasons for not accepting cash payment and the reasons I also don't know. But I feel using Cashcard saved a lot of money.
The reason is being, apple itune in the internet needs a credit card to enter, apple iphone comes with no games, no songs, but all is in itune, it is not you need to pay, but in itunes you can both free and pay stuffs, without a credit card, you cannot surf itune ya. So, those telcos selling Iphone will insist that you have credit cards register first with them so that you can go into itune to surf.
If you are buying a iphone over the counter without any contract, you can use cash if you dun have a credit card. But later when you want to surf itune, you will have problem, and your Iphone will be not be able to enjoy what apple truly offer you at a discount rate for any downloading.

Wait wait wait, they rejected your cash payment in US or SG?
cash is king.
I once went to a yatch club near NUS and the F&B outlet there didnt allow people to buy water with cash...only credit card...some years back already...not sure if they are still doing it...
credit card only is still the exception rather than the norm.
