  no to first Q; yes to second Q

  CNY has always been a low key event - dinner on eve, visit grandma on first day, end of story. gives us more time to do what we want for the rest of the time - can zzz, go out and visit friends if we want etc.

  you n eed to differentiate between race and religion. race = chinese so most chinese celebrate cny; religion = christian so christians (chinese, indians, caucasians etc) celebrate xmas. in a way i do both - just the extent of celebs differ. depends on which one you wanna emphasize.

  Ok, I had some relatives come over in the morning, but in the afternoon, I went to Mustafa for some shopping, then walked to Bugis to soak up the festive mood-the temple there a lot of people.

  We have all races but majority are chinese. No choice. Some unlucky ones have to sacrifice lor. Btw I celebrate all festive! be it CNY, Deepavali, Hari Raya, Lai Kratong or Christmas etc.... I celebrate all. A holiday is better than a working day. WHY? Well, I definitely love to get a good screwed during a holiday than at work  ; )
