CNY Day 1 on Sunday.
If a PH on Sunday, there should be a day off in lieu right?
Today(Monday) is NOT the day off in lieu coz its CNY Day 2 which is PH anyway.

Read the MOM website and weep: MOM Webpage on 2010 public holidays
I quote: As Chinese New Year falls on Sunday 14 February 2010 and Monday 15 February 2010, the next day, Tuesday 16 February 2010, will be a public holiday.
So.... how? ![]()
Tuesday is a public holiday. =) Its official. Its to replace Sunday, which is a non-working day for most people.
Macro, you sala already... It's still a public holiday...
But I want to start on a new year resolution tonight... that's work... ![]()
It's a one year plan...
I didnt bother to check whether tomorrow is a PH as I know I am working.
Until my parents(both civil servants) started talking about their River Hongbao plans for tomorrow, I was surprised so I asked them...
the rationale is simple lar. Sunday is already gazetted as a non working day. if any public holiday like christmas or deepavali falls on sunday, monday is a public holiday. as CNY is a 2 days public holidays, so add another day to the public holiday otherwise falls on a sunday.

I thought this is something we knew all along; there's no need to check. It has happened in the past in Singapore before.
Wow, may I know what you work as? How come PH still need to go work?

Coz I see some calendars mark Feb 16 as red, while others mark it as a normal day. But I never really bothered coz I knew I will be working anyway.
I'm in risk intelligence.
