I bought a pair of dining lamps about 1 year ago. Recently during CNY, the bulb fell and shattered on the dining table. No one was injured as no one was at the dining table. The bulb fell was not because of installation problem. It fell because the metal part at the bottom of the bulb detached (due to don't know what reason) from the bulb. It should be manufacturing problem. It is a hazadous incident. Can I go back to the shop and ask for compensation? e.g choose another lamp at the seller's cost?
sounds like bad luck for lightbub to fall during cny
general wear and tear tt happens to everything

People dont sell bulbs with guarantee cards attached to it.
even if you wish to go exchange/compensation, the shop seller may deny & give all sorts of excuses..
so bo pian just suck thumb lor & get a new bulb..
1 year old stuff, still can ask for refund?
yesterday my underwear which i bought 1 year ago tore, can i go back shop ask for refund?
There is still one more bulb.
Wait for another year, and see if that one fell off too, then confirm manufacturing problem, and bring the lamp back to the shop.
maybe made in China one right?
If really from china one
consider lucky can last for 1 yr
and also never blow up ur whole house too
Now almost ALL bulbs are made in China.!
Ever put the bulb holder into consideration, other than the bulb itself?
metal part at bottom of the lamp detached? the bulb metal part or the lamp holder metal part? although your problem sounds simple but it will be better to see the problem physically. one year too long far out. even if the lmap assembly manufacturer give warranty one year is up already.
Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the reply. Just settled with the seller today. They replace a new/different model for me. Apprantly seem like this model has many such cases and advice me to test out another bulb model.
:)
one year later than we see
