what do u think of those clothing boutiques?.. where the cheerful staff smile n greet u 'HI, WELCOMETO XXXX' (name of boutique), once u step into the shop
maybe got chiobu leh. chiobu smile at u, make u feel happy. lol
does it enhances your shopping experience? or make u feel uneasy? or make u want to buy?
then for the staff, does it makes them tired to be repeating this n smiling the whole day?
from the customer point of view so be quite happy especially greeted by pretty staff. from worker point of view should be quite sian.
I have this personal experience at Kbox. When i reach the counter, I was attended by a normal looking lady staff which greeted me with a broad smile. I was quite pleased with it because she looks very sincere and natural when she greeted me. however, the moment i walk away, her face change immediately to a less responsive mode.
I was amazed by the rate of change, as it is better than the acting skills of any actresses. Therefore, curious of her amazing change of reaction in such a short time, i walk back to her and ask her how she did it. she replied me frankly that she did it to every customer, as she has to repeat the same sentence that she said to me earlier (greetings) for countless time daily.
My conclusion is this, it is absolutely normal for the staff to behave in this manner. Sometimes we do that at our own work as well when we are facing our colleagues.
u mean..
welcome to uni qlo?
metro got
hello and goodbye
i think they got shift....... everybardie take turns.......
it's a nice gesture but tt does not make me wanna spend more in the shop
greet is fine, i can't stand SA keep following and keep wanting to intro this recommend tt....
irks me and i will walk out instead
That is called good service
I def will feel better if i were being greeted like that. But it doesnt mean i will def buy something from the shop. I think it's a good gesture that every shop should do.
i'd rather they leave me alone
but when i need sth then pls come and attend to me
yea... i seriously hate salesperson following behind me.. when i shop..
best they leave me alone
.ill personally walk over n call if i need help..
thats why sometimes i shop when the shop is crowded..so they wont bother me. or track my movement so badly.
I also dont like salesperson to follow me around the shop.
I might get piss off and walk out of the shop.
They should leave the customers alone.
i dun mind if salesgirl is pretty, follow me around.....^_^
if i go fitting room, i just....heh heh heh

Uni Qlo... every few steps you take you will be greeted by their different sales staffs. Sometimes over greeting can be tiring for the customers as well because we have to respond to them by smiling ( I do that) or say "Hi" ( I do that too). I find that if I don't I might be percieve as being proud or arrogant.

You can try saying this when you enter the shop loudly:
Shi Ni Ma Sei
What if out of the blue the whole team of sales staffs greet loudly back to you? By then I would really like to hide in your freezer.

Ok what, at most, just laugh and nod to them as you pass them lor.....![]()
u go to jipoonese restorans like waraku or sushi tei, they all will yell
for the sake of it
but other than tt line, the staff do not know of any other jipoonese other than the item names on the menu
for me, its ok..
as long as they dun tag behind me everywhere I go..
sometimes they juz dun get the hidden meaning when I say I'm juz looking around..
When they follow me, I usually walk out.
Of course it enhances the shopping experience.
But nothing beats those Maid service in Japan la. If only ALL service industry is like that.
And for the staff, of course its tiring.. but its for thier own good. Own well being and character building. LOL!

sorry.. cant help it..
Yes.. and dun forget the bowing n stuff. It enhances my ego and superiority. he he
well blame the sales commission system, people. If they leave u alone and lose the sale to another colleague, that colleague gets the commission. That's why they have to follow u to make sure "your sale belongs to them" hahaha.
Personally, I hate it. I wanna look at the stuff in peace and not someone interrupting my train of thought anytime.
U know u can always say.. "just browsing... but if i need anything, u will be the first one i call"
Smile ![]()
And browse.
Works everytime. lol
