just my point of view. here is the story first.
my friend lost her adult ez link card and she just topped it up. coincidentally she applied for ez reload by giro which link the ez link card to her bank account. so she waited for the application letter as it contained the ez link card number.
my friend tot that since ez link card is all computerised, they will be able to track down each and every card. furthermore, to refund an adult ez link at any office, one's identity will be taken down.
after she received the letter, she called the ez link hotline and reported the lost of adult ez link card with the card number. however the customer officer replied that unless she activated the ez link reload, they were unable to do anything. not even to track down the last transaction.
will ez link not be able to track down even the last transaction? afterall its all computerise. then wat is the purpose of recording down the identity when one refund an adult ez link card?
Now a days if you lose a non-GIRO EzLink card, it is like dropping your coin purse with money in it. Good luck in getting it back.

agree
They'd be more than happy to learn that your card is lost, and so that they can sell you one more card ;)
