got my fingers injured due to stupid placement of trash can!

was at parco yesterday 12:30pm plus
so when i went up the escalator, i held on to the railing handle bar on the right side. (one of the small escalator, not the central one)
happens that somebody, most likely the cleaner, placed the trash can by the side of the railing, so close to the it that its almost touching.
so with my fingers holding on to the railing which was going up, it came in contact with the trash can n my fingers got mashed!
ouch...so painful! what a way to spoil my weekend.

How did you put your fingers so far out holding on to the moving railings? If you carry on like that, ignoring the trash bin, it might not even make it past the false ceiling along the way.

no, i was merely gripping the railing, just like how u would hold on to it when u go up the escalator -
