Hi all,
Im almost finishing my NS this year and going to be looking for a job. I currently do not have a degree so i hope to take up a Diploma in Accounting in MDIS. So, was hoping anyone out here will be kind enough to give me some advice if i should go ahead and take up this Diploma or maybe i should just go apply for the Part-time Degree in SIM? Also, i only got an A level cert.

Go ahead and apply for a part time degree if you are eligible. Dont waste time doing Dip then later go do degree again. More expensive that way too.

You should do a degree directly. u should also consider other schools like Kaplan, PSB and ERC as well

I was thinking of actually getting a Diploma in MDIS first then go take Part-time degree in SIM.. This way can work and study because my family is not so well-off atm..

Since u planning to take accounts, i think u have less chance of getting a job compared to SIM or kaplan because they are well known for tat related course obviously
If u take dip in media, mass comm etc in MDIS or PSB.... it will come in handy.
IMO, private education providers like MDIS are not very recognized. No offence to anyone who are the alumunis or currently studying in MDIS. But just imagine that an ITE student can take up a diploma in MDIS? I wonder what are their minimum entry requirements to be eligible for a diploma course.
I would have to agree that Kaplan is a good choice, of coz SIM is the best option as being an accredited private uni.
If you were to take up a dip in acctg, i think u wont be accepted in for SIM's part-degree course, becoz SIM do not recognize MDIS diploma. Even for their advanced diploma i dont think you'll stand a good chance.

Please don't go to MDIS. It is super not-recognized by many employers out there. I rather you go study at unisim. The govt have subsidy for UniSIM courses (take note, not partnership programs under SIM with foreign universities). Those are super expensive.
