I went to Singpost just now to collect a parcel which was mine, but sent to my friend's house but then transferred to a post office. When I went to collect, they didn't allow me to collect because my Identification card, which is an EZlink card, didn't have my address. They then gave me a ''Delivery Advice'' slip and told me to full in my name and NRIC number, and then ask the recipient to sign it. But I am unable to ask her to sign because she is not in Singapore for the whole week, and if I don't collect the parcel in 5 days, it will be returned to sender. What should I do? D:
Go back take your NRIC to claim for the parcel. They have to verify your particulars before releasing the parcel to you.

Post office is correct - You staying somewhere else - go collect another address postage ?
Even you bring your IC also no use - your ic address is not that address.
Frankly you will need the legal person of there to sign to authorized you to collect on her/his behalf.
Singpost sucks. that time i went to send my cpu for servicing at sg compaq headquarter and they took like a week ++ to deliver when they said they were gonna deliver be4 a week
where did you require the parcel to be sent to your friend's house in the first place?

nothing is guranteed lah due to unforseen circumstances..
i had a major issue with singpost/vpost some time early feb
something i would not take sitting down
not only breached their SLA, it caused me a lot of inconvenience
i persevered and harassed their call centre for a month
escalatored to senior manager (after traumatising many CSOs)
finally had a full closure on the case in mid-march
and i got wat i want and nothing less -- a full refund
received the cheque a few days ago
