what to write on peninsula plaza!

i need help in my project.
supposed to write everything about peninsula and how it acts like a mini SEA country.
anyone knows which country are the ppl that usually gather there at night are from?
and food. shops. anything!!
i went down personally but it just seem like a mixture of all kinds of races.

they were damn scary, all in big groups!!
i only managed to visit some painting shops and food stores but doesnt help much.
i think they are mainly from mynmmar. but i heard thais go there too!! argh. and they gather there only at night.

U're suppose to do ur own research... not find info and try to make them into ur own work/effort... effort la... effort...

Maybe u can write something about how the other race, not only from snigapore, learnt from singapoer to have racial harmony
Or make up that even though they do fight, they still respect each other, go to geylang together for prostitutes etc
Then talk about why penisula plaza is a better place than geylang, a short paragraph maybe, but dun go outta point

haha. okok. i will be going down again tmr and the rest of the week but i have to learn some history first right. and i cant seem to find anything from the net.
the web just shows me the location and useless stuff.
i did some effort ok... i took many photos but just didnt dare to approach them, anw i was pretty susprised that they hang out in such a big group. and you cant expect a girl alone to approach them just like that right, esp late at night.
hmm... =(

go see the shops for a start lah
u should be able to figure out the origin of customers and owners
and at least find out what SEA is so u know what nationalities you're looking at

-____- no no... it's not abt finding information from the net... A child could also find information on the net... It's about field work... conducting ur own research, interview, surveys... having YOUR OWN VIEW on the matter based on ur findings... not just wat other ppl tell u etc etc...shyness nor fear would net u good result... maybe u could ask a few friends to follow u along if u're afraid...

Then in that case, go get some reinforcements in the form of a couple of male siblings/cousins/friends to accompany you.
You come online also, you can't really learn anything. For goodness' sake, go and talk to a few of them; they can't do anything when you have reinforcements with you.
In fact, just looking at the kinds of shops that are there and talking to the shopkeepers will already get you a lot of useful information.

i'll compare a few ethnic hangouts and prmote penisula.
but by the time the ppl gather, the shops are already close. =( i dun see why they come at a time when there's nothing to buy. okok.
i've got some pointers now. =) will go search for ans tmr. hopefully they are nice ppl. one shop owner just ignored me when he saw me holding a camera.

they go there not to buy things but to meet up with their countrymen...
tie this into your project.. that people need fellowship.. which is why they are there...
most of all, go find out why they are there, why they are here in Singapore.. and more..
instead of looking at this as just a project, look at this as something which will enrich you as you learn more about what goes on outside our own comfort zones

i already wrote some questions down to ask them. hopefully i get to witness someting special tmr over there. haha like a fight? that will make my scrapbook more colourful.
oh and i do realise they have an elavator for cars.. seldom see it in sg. ok, but no link to my project.

haha. i dun think the buffet is there anymore if not i would have gone there. lol. i know they sell the cheapest snacks and stuff.. like hersheys cookies and cream bar... ntuc selling at $2? they sell for $1.05. one long can of pringles for $1.85. hahaha..
