about cheques

  last week on the 11th, i used the quick cheque deposit at ocbc to send cheque to several companies. the cheques r put in 1 envelop. however, i know i shld haf mailed them instead of using qcd becos i did not write any acct numbers behind the cheque itself.

  then today, i received 2 cheques back frm ocbc, stating payee acct number is required. then i was thinking where the other cheques are since all dun haf acct number written. i called the ocbc person she told me, impossible the rest of the cheque wun be received. she say maybe other bank acct.

  any advice??

  all the cheques will be sent back to issuer.

  i onli receive 2 cheques back frm ocbc out of those. becos those cheques r also ocbc cheques. then is it possible those cheques not returned is becos the companies dun haf ocbc acct so it takes longer time for ocbc to transfer those cheques to lets say posb then posb send back to us?

  just call ocbc tell them the cheque number and tell them to cancel it

  The two companies on the returned cheques don't have an OCBC account.

  Verify with the other companies if the cheque amount has been credited into their  OCBC account. Otherwise the cheques should have been returned to you.

  OCBC can trace the account number through the name of the company, unless there are discrepancies or two companies with similar names, the cheques can be credited to the respective accounts with the bank.

  yes but the problem is i sent though cheques right i am supposed to mail them to their respective addresses becos there is NO acct number written. instead i went to drop them at quick cheque depo, and today they onli returned me 2 of them. was wondering where did the rest of thecheques go?
