but things like medical bills, school fees etc i want to be able to pay for without any problems at all

Save your time and money spent on getting a degree and start a business.
You can always study for a degree later on, maybe then you will see degree isn't everything and you don't have to live your life like everyone else.
Don't ask me which business you should be doing, this question has been asked 93472659257202 times already.
You should spend time to think about your own business, afterall it's mind your own business right?
Engineering degree, you can do other jobs with an engineering degree, but you cannot do engineering with other degrees.![]()
LLB/BCom ?
BEng/LLB ?
Any specialized technical degree.
Medicine
Law
Pharmacy
Engineering
Computing
Etc.
Anything that can serve as a little barrier (market entry barrier) for the job market.
Accountancy I am not too sure, it's a little bit of technical and specialized, but at the same time, it's also a little general and easy to get. People can even get courses on their own.

any degree or career that pays the most is the best choice so far...
passion is when one is in the 20s and survival is when one is in 30s and after...thus many switch from their passion of 20s to something sustainable when one is getting older....i.e. switching from sports or engineering to business or finance finally...etc...and another good question is why some has so many multi-disciplinary degrees and this trend is rising..for fear of losing out
such is the reality
