I applied to NTU for Mech. Engg but got the later options in Materials Engg. I applied to NUS for Mech. Engg, but also got the later options in Physics Degree. =(
Now does anyone know the procedures/ to-do things so that I can still get into NTU/NUS Mechanical Engg??
Btw, I finished a local diploma, waiting for NS now. I really dont want to do stuffs like attend the given degree(like one semester) then if still hate it then change.
Any advise, do let me in. Thanks.
Mechanical engineering, materials engineering, physics -- what's the bloody difference? Not going to change your life one bit whichever you end up with...

You appeal.
Otherwise try common engineering and hope over to mechanical engineering in the 2nd year.

oh isee.. i understand. but thats like a last resort cos its too crappy spending the first sem even in a course and jump here and there. anyway, im starting out in 2nd year.
yea, NS go sign on you mean?? haha, idk!

Err roo, i do know what i want to do, why i want to do mech. Apparently Retarted Moron has a point but that doesnt apply to me.

Since you don't want to hop about, you appeal.
Nothing much else you can do.
Anyway, ommon engineering isn't really hopping about, it is more like choosing a specialisation only in the 2nd year.
if u are very sure what u want to do and why, i.e. mech eng, then u shld stick to it and persist in finding way till confirmed no way le. i agree with u that it's no point jump here n there. waste time n money.
what abt other universities besides NUS / NTU ? how are your grades viz-a-viz the cut-off point, if u don't mind telling us.
Good to see people persistent in their goal. Keep it up.

I was from poly, so above 3.5 la, anyway yeah, mech is the best for me right now. well, in 2years time alot can change tho.

The universities go through each candiate's criteria carefully
believe in meritocracy...
If it's meant to be, it'll eventually be yours..resistance is futile...

You need to accept one and reject one. Just choose one, and sign up again next year and try your luck
