Well, that's my rough estimation lol. From tuition loans to cars to HDBs and landed property.
We have great cars on the roads. Our cars look newer than those in any other country in the world. But it's a mountain of debt on every car. And the COE rule ensures that the cars on our road look evergreen and ultimately, makes us look like a rich nation with rich people when foreigners visit.
Debt filled Singapore.
Make it simple, those not in debt raise your hand
I still hve my tuition loan at 2.6% interest :(
But I put that money into SPH for 6.8% divvy yield :)
look at the bank profits and you know.
how much are they paying for saving interest? 1%?
so what's the meaning of life? Study hard and work your ass off the next 30 years to pay debts.
well, you can alway write it off as bad debts
I am in debt, my CC statement only comes on the 18th.
Seriously, I have no debts owned to any external bodies at all, just the debts that I repay my parents every month.
Library fine.. 30 bucks~ =(
By debts, I guess net debts after taking into account total assets - total liabilities.
CC bills, if your networth can easily cover, isn't a debt.
Economic statics shows that a healthy economy must have a balance of +++ and ---.
I thought it works with Singaporeans too? Those not in debts are either people without a family without commitment or without a job for spendings.

Own you for 100 bucks ? Pretty cheap I must say. LOL!
Yeah we're all probably in debt
But...most of the time people with mountains of debts lack financial sense, and do not spend within their means. So in the end who is to blame?

i got no debt too.
In sg, one has no debt because he or she is likely to be still studying, single with no car or house to his/her name or is super rich. 95% is likely to go through a mountain of debt in their lifetime.
