  i call my close friends bitch, darling, hot stuffs etc. normal frends can be honey dear.  strangers can be anything depends how they look like.

  Yes it is a perfectly acceptable term of addressing someone you know or are on friendly terms with.  However, it can be used in a "sarcastic" manner.  You said something to piss her off?
