Recently I bought a sharpened samurai sword made of deep forged carbon
steel and comes with about 1 metre full tang for $400 from a online
sword dealer who is staying in singapore.
Is this a reasonable price to pay for a sharpened samurai sword made of
carbon steel with full tang of 1 metre?
I saw a somewhat similar sword made of carbon steel selling at caesars
for $750 which is much more expensive. But the caesars sword come with a
sword stand, box to keep the sword and a bottle of oil.
However, this $400 sword that I buy do not come with the sword stand,
box and oil. However she gave me a silk sword bag for the sword.
I had to go to my provision shop at my house to buy the singer oil which
cost $1.50 to oil my sword.
it depends...there r both low and high carbon steel grade...
i m not into it...but i do know that higher grade type has more than 1000 layers
u can just tell the seller that u willing to pay 700 if she include a bottle of oil to oil ur sword lor
yo, can tell me where you bought those sword? Would like to buy one for my brother for his birthday. Can PM me?

U just ask caesars why theirs is 700 bucks...if they cant tell U why..U just found a shop to avoid...![]()
I don't think caesars will say why theirs cost $700 cos that guy in the shop is just the sales assistant and not the owner of the company.
Btw, I bought the sword from a sword dealer and she does not have a physical shop. She is advertising her products in ebay so maybe because she don't need to pay for rental etc so she can sell it cheaper
did u test the carbon steel sword??its got to be the right amount carbon......if in the right amount that steel would be able even to slice apart a car door with the right technique.
original samurai sword is composite steel layer soft inside hard outside......as designed.....but if u need to take a car or lorry door apart and finish the job...best get a composite steel layered sword .s 100% carbon steel sword wont last long....
<<<<can u find the parts made outa carbon steel ?
