Guys better at math?

  sgforumers, how true do you guys think this is? are most guys better are math?

Babies who understood that the mirror image didn’t belong in the series, stared at it longer. Boy babies, on average, looked significantly longer at the mirror image. “We had 12 boys and 12 girls,” says Liben, “and 11 of 12 boys, and 5 of 12 girls looked longer at the mirror image.” Liben stresses that although the data showed a significant group difference, some girl infants behaved like most of the boys."

  Hmmm there is probably some truth in this...but you can't really use it to generalise.

  So far, most of the guys I know are better at maths than girls. Maybe because guys are able to focus better (single minded )and are not as easily distracted as girls.

  Of course la....this doesn't apply to everyone.

  this reminds me the year my GCE A levels released, school top student was girl. all A1s. including F Maths.

  I kinda agree that guys are better at maths. It's strange and I dunno why, but guys do seem better at maths than girls. [Which is totally unfair!>:x ] xD

  Supposedly, guys are better at maths while girls are better at languages. But this is not absolute........ Cases of exceptions exist abundantly............

  Bullshit article.  Visuospatial and numeric ability are at best related, and certainly not interchangeable in the way this article treats the two abilities.

  The "if it has four legs it must be a salamander" rubbish reasoning notwithstanding, Liben's gotta be out of her mind claiming significance on a ptitful sample of 24.

  What a load of bollocks.  The irony here is that with her absurdly poor grasp of statistics, Liben just proved her point.  Go figure.
