Tell Me: WTC b4 vivocity was built

  Hi

  want to discuss about something in particular concerning the old World Trade Center before harborfront/vivocity was built.

   

  Back in those days, I can vaguely remember there was this open area with computer terminals with interactive software. Call it an "interactive zone" if you will. You control these computer terminals via a "ball mouse" with your palm. Some of these computer terminals had arcade games on them. I remember that there was some gunship game where you go around the screen destroying the AI gunships.

  And another interesting game where it's something like a container crane simulator game. You control a crane and stack container crates above another but the trick is to align them (not even a pixel off center). There are even cutscenes with Maersk container ships sailing in the sunset. And also a 3D animated video of PSA and container trucks. I loved it.

  Oh, there was another 3D animation plane simulator but I didn't like that game as much as the other 2 above.

   

  When you go outside there's a naval and maritime themed glass display: got ship steering wheel and various sailor knots (clove hitch, etc) put up on display.

  World Trade Center. Any idea about this "interactive zone"? Anyone knows what's going on? What I'm talking about? This is nostalgia.

  World Trade Center in Singapore. There's Seah Im Food Center, Vivocity and Harborfront.

  World Trade Center where there are those Star Cruise ships. Virgo Libra Aquarius

  Singaporeans? How? Any know? Singaporeans confirm heard of our old WTC right?

  PSA Bldg is at Alexandra Rd/ Pasir Panjang Rd/ Telok Blangah Rd tat corner.

  Hi TS, You are refering the maritime showroom. I remember the entrance is on second level and the exit is on the first level.

  Jeweltime '79? All the while I mistaken that the World Trade Center was built in the 90s. When I was a kid the place looked so new and spacious with strong air conditioning it gave me the idea that it was some new hangout or something. '79? Gee never realised.

  I rmb going there for the Jurassic Park Exhibition when I was young..
