Obscene Imports

  Anyone have or any knows those who imported limited amount of obscene dvds and was caught? What are the penalty? Is it just a warning for the first timer?

  Import like how? Drive in M'sia? I know one, but must buy at least 30 dvds dey deliver out for you.

  I am saying if order online and was posted to you but was stopped by Singapore Post and referred to Police. What's going happen to you and will it only be a verbal warning by the Police for the first-timer?

  This really depends... anyway since you know somehow its not legit to import these dvds then dun import lah. Later got trouble then you'll regret.

  Though this is not Singapore post, but still ish SG so should be same.

  It says:

  The following items are NOT allowed to be imported into Singapore:

  • Chewing gum (except oral dental and medicated gum)

  • Cigarette lighters of pistol or revolver shape
  • Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances
  • Endangered species of wildlife and their by-products
  • Firecrackers
  • Obscene articles, publications, video tapes/discs and software
  • Reproduction of copyright publications, video tapes, video compact discs, laser discs, records or cassettes
  • Seditious and treasonable materials
  • It is an offence if you attempt to bring any of the items listed above into Singapore

  But then maybe Singapore post not strict, coz once my friend send a disc to me from oversea, no problem lei. You can risk and try la. Den when you in trouble remember to tell us ah. xD xD xD~

  I don't think they will jail you if got caught, any offence here is get fined and warning letter.

  The police will bring you to a tatoo parlour and ink the words "pervert" on your forehead......

  Irregardless of the severity of the punishment, you're still blacklisted since the "offence" was recorded against you.

  Wonder what your future bosses will think when they ask you to declare if you have a criminal record.

  Some countries require you to declare criminal records too when applying for visa/work eprmit...

  hahas.i agree.now you have offically owned yourself, for being such an ass to import things through Singpost.who in the world would even not know that where we're live is so tied up with law dude? Remember, you got a fine to pay, thats for sure.plus there should be increasement of amount.
