Door Gate/Grill

  Few years ago, my estate was upgraded under the HDB MUP, the white gate/grill has turned rusty 3 years after the major upgrading was completed. I do not want to repaint it. Am thinking of replacing it with a new gate grill.

  Wrought iron or aluminum gate, which is better? I want something that does not turn rusty in the long term.

  Appreciate it if anyone can share his/her experience

  Its heavy, its solid, and requires welding to fully secure it to its hinges. Its a joy to watch it being fixed. Maybe to me only.

  if yours is a corridor unit, no point reinforcing your door when you leave your windows wide open.

  assuming you factor in security.

   

  but after awhile the paint on the wrought iron will also scrap off. but it is much more sturdy and better looking thatn an aluminium one.

  Hmm. my idea of a wrought iron gate is those old old designs. Brass coloured, not much painting at all. 

  or maybe it isn't made of wrought iron

  go straight to the manufacturer at the industrial estates. dont go to the renovation contractors. cut the middleman expenses.

  Low carbon stainless steel, will not get rust.

   

  No painting needed.

   

  Wrought iron will still get rusty.

  Stainless steel lah...paid a bit more and dun have to paint forever, aiyo, me gal gal know better than you, wrought iron...alamak, I see some HDB flats, house to house all wrought iron gates, like state prison

  then when i show you mine gate you must also show me your gate. the one small small narrow can flip open both side one
