Yes.
Some part of the earth exploded / expulsed the material.
That material became the moon.
What do you think about it?
1. I believe it
2. I dont believe it
I believe, because I ever watched a documentary on it, but it wasn't linked to darwin.

History channel got show that before. The show name should be universe.
is not about believe....please do more reading.....about Earth Science.
Planet Earth is about 4 - 4.5 billion years
Moon too is measured and have the same aged.
The chemical composition of moon and planet Earth are the same.
so we cannot eat mooncake liao...?
must call it earthcake?
It's true, I was the moon...

facts.........
rocks collected from the moon by astronauts were found to be far older than Earth..........
then the sand and dust on the moon would have to be far older than the rocks..............
so that means.............moon is far far older than Earth...............so how can come from Earth leh ?
If you want FACTS.......
the first dating of the age of the Moon to be about 4 billion years. This was based on the rock samples brought back by the Apollo 11 astronauts, the first humans to walk on the Moon, in July, 1969. These findings, the first scientific report based on analysis of lunar material actually retrieved from the Moon, were reported in the September 19, 1969, issue of Science under the authorship of "The Lunar Sample Preliminary Examination Team," of which Prof. Schaeffer was a member. They were presented in a much more extensive form at a Lunar Science Conference of all mission investigators in Houston and published in an extraordinary 380-page "Moon Issue" of Science on January 30, 1970.
The ages of Earth and Moon rocks and of meteorites are measured by the decay of long-lived radioactive isotopes of elements that occur naturally in rocks and minerals.
In Western Australia, single zircon crystals found in younger sedimentary rocks have radiometric
ages of as much as 4.3 billion years, making these tiny crystals the oldest materials to be found
on Earth so far. The source rocks for these zircon crystals have not yet been found. The ages
measured for Earth's oldest rocks and oldest crystals show that the Earth is at least 4.3 billion
years in age
Some theorised the moon was a piece of another planet like object that collided with the earth before. They also theorised it could be coming back again.

it is possible as it happen in moons within our solar system as the smaller moon got pull in by planet gravity such as saturn or jupiter.
what happen with lunar moon is that we have not dig deeper to understand the core. But it is most likely similar with planet Earth material.
Since it is much smaller its core cool down much faster than planet Earth and it lost its magnetics pole and its atmospheric pressure hence the airless moon.
