i received an sms stating as below.DBS fraud, Dear customer, please call 18008341851 or 6568341541 regarding card activiites which might affect your credit/debit card . thank you.
when i called back it stated if thiscall was made outside USA, i need to pay as it not tol free etc.. call the local number but phone not ringing except some beep tone.
try calling dbs but busy... anyone encountered?

If it was real, the originating sms will be from a 6 digit number starting with 7. By calling that number, they just made your money.
Think about it, if it was real, they should call you, not ask you call back, nor send you an sms. By the way, the above earlier statement, applies only to adverts, not warnings, or messages.

wow... funny thing is i called back DBS bank and told them about this sms, they checked and said they suspected someone is using my card.. then i ask them did they send me a sms, and how come the number in sms cannot get through... they also dont know...
the next min the card was cancelled as i cannot view it in my IB.
wth.
watever it is, safest to cancel the card first until they finished investigations
and pls get a case number from the CSO so u can call them back 6 times a day to check on the status of the investigation
Congratulations, you can now apply for a new card, and need not bother following up on the old card, coz their investigations will never be finished.
