i dun expect to be paid the same as a local uni grad. Just a decent amount will do.
However, i know sim ge ppl are still being look upon :-(
It's who u know, not what you know. There are quite a number of SIM grads who are getting good jobs out there, paid better than a grad from the big 3 unis.

Ya...that's what Singaporeans do BEST, murdering their fellow Singaporeans in a legal manner.
Beating up their Singaporean girlfriends, politely stabbing their fellow Singaporeans at workplace, enslaving their fellow Singaporeans at churches/restaurants, rebelling against their government by not showing appreciation and gratitude for what they have done for the country.
No wonder life sucks for everyone, cos that's the end result that we have all worked together to achieve.
Nowadays, its a boss world.
Got a good recongnised degree also depends on boss face.
And they want cheap cheap and good degree pple.

Govt has somehow started it. Too many foreigners... lack of control.... its like so free that anyone can come in... and our policies are too pro-business. Somehow social interests is neglected.
Thats how the society has become. Look at the younger generations these days... Only know how to study and study.... kill each other in school.... everyone is just getting more and more individualistic... no moral values... cos it is not important in school.... Good Citizen modules are simply brushed off by teachers... cos English and Maths is MORE IMPORTANT!

Reservist more critical. Who wants to hire somebody who disappears 2 weeks every year for the first 10 years....

Yeah, shorten the ns and reservist.

Too bad. Most of our ministers are 1st generation Singapore Citizens who migrated in from overseas.
They have never served a single day of NS and they do not feel its a critical issue.
What to do? It has happened.

Actually I am in the same situation as you.
Have been unemployed for two months ever since graduation, with a SIM GE Degree.
But you might have missed out a point, the job market still isnt that good.
I have heard that graduates from SMU, NTU and NUS also take approximately 6-9 months to find a job these days...
If you have looked through Saturday's RECRUIT section, you would have noticed most jobs are GLCs or Civil Service that is doing the hiring. Actually, I have tried applying some of the jobs.... send like 30-40 resumes to both private and civil service... but only got one interview... which I suppose I didnt get into the job .... no reply from them ever since....
Fret not, you have an equal chance.... just like any Singaporean graduate.
FYI, one of my friends told me that a local graduate has known PRC graduates from the local universities offering free trial work for 1 -3 months.... probably the asking salary to get into the job market for graduates now is FREE LABOUR for 1 - 3 months.

You're wrong. The Government did not create this distortion in our social and mental behaviour.
The fact that not all Singaporeans are displaying such poor social and mental behaviour is a good evidence that family background and upbringing are responsible for instilling this social and mental distortion in most affected Singaporeans.
However, I agree that it is extremely easy to shift the blame towards the government because Singaporeans are just not ready to look at themselves and accept any form of faults, errors, wrong-doings as their own credit. Singaporeans are only ready to claim success as their own achievement but not their own failures. This is the current weak mindset of the Singaporean society.
To prove me wrong, go and calculate how many Singaporeans are able to accept and claim failures as swiftly as they are to claim success as their own? You may use only the people you have known or came across to judge whether my comments were right or wrong.
Truly we are living in a population of weak individuals.

a ya.....and the sluts stealing their men's money and hypocritically announced love is everything...selling their bodies in the name of pradas, betraying their men and country to any foreigners that would feed their vanities...
what a great bunch of educated sluts we have breed

Are your examples pointing to Singaporean girls?
If not, then keep your focus on the topic if you want to argue for the sake of arguing.
I hope you can at least do that without failing again. ![]()

I'm not surprised if you know or witnessed many society failures.
You would have agreed with me if you know more capable individuals in Singapore. ![]()

Not serving NS is like the class monitoress no need to participate in classroom cleaning.
Same as your manager no need to use the photocopy machine, someone lower will do it for him.
It's like if you're super rich, you don't even need to wipe your own asshole.
Do you understand the concept? ![]()

A little, but I do understand that people like Teo Chee Hien and George Yeo actually did quite a fair bit for our armed forces

People have different paths in lives.
It's best not to compare and transformed into some Green-Eyed JEALOUS Monster.

Indeed, Singaporeans have become weak.
However, the Singapore government has also become weak too. When the problems arise, they no longer tackle the problems head on immediately and come up with good and effective solutions as in the past.

Agree..... they seem to disappear for a few days and then come back and say... its a good lesson learnt.
