what do you do? clean or replace with a new one?
i remember last week during lunch, one of my collick mentioned, u can use vinegar to soak and clean the black black stuff in ur kettle...
However, rust is another issue, I suggest u change a new kettle...
Depends if you are rich or poor or environmentally friendly. ![]()
Poor and environmentally friendly means buy descaler.
Rich and wasteful means get new one.
i have decided to buy a new one.
sometimes it's not whether rich or poor...
Health more impt... It's better to spend abit buy a kettle, instead of falling sick due to rust and spend more later...
If it's just iron rust there's no need to worry about it. You probably eat more carbon from BBQed food anyway.
Poor quality kettle. Buy better ones.

Wah, over the stove one also can rust, either your water supply something wrong, or you really bought a lousy kettle.

how much is a good kettle?
change it

I dunno, as long as its stainless steel it shouldn't rust, it might rust only at parts where there are hinges or something, coz those parts cannot be made out of stainless steel. There is a household appliance shop near S11 ang mo kio central, I dunno, 15 bucks?
I prefer the ones that whistle loud, coz a boiling kettle is the last thing you want to forget.

Sometimes, things expensive doesn't mean they are good...
Better change a new one, afterall, it wont cost you a bomb to buy a kettle.
I thought this thread is a kind of poetry or a symbolic language, from reading the title.
