I've 1 shiny silvery paper clip, would like to trade with you 1 singapore $10 note for my silvery paper clip.
Just get something bigger but not neccessarily "better" because the "better" description is vague, so you have some room to interpret this "better or worse" yourself.
Well, for instance maybe the paper clip can be exchanged with a pencil.
Or maybe a used wrapper.

it could be a functional need or emotional need or social need
functional need - look for people who need the paper clip for a task. here you go to places where people might be in dire need for paper clip. where ? off hand i think of school admissions counter where students submit their admission papers.. places like that
emotional / social need - look for people who trade for fun / adventure / spirit of the game. in this case, the paper clip is just the trading token to be exchanged for something else. here you sell (the concept of) the game. the paper clip is secondary
