Hi guys.
I have a diploma in Biotechnology and I wish to expand my repertoire into another diploma field. I have completed NS and probably if I cannot get into a degree in uni, I 'm thinking of studying for another diploma. (GPA: 2.93)
Is it true that I cannot use Tution Grant Scheme (I've used it for my previous diploma) to pay for the tuition fees? What are the other alternatives/schemes to pay the fees?
I need advice to plan out my post-ORD plan. Thanks alot guys!
You cannot use tuition grant already.
So your fees will be fucking expensive.
in my opinion, going into another field is not a good reason for getting a 2nd diploma. The time is better spent when you move up for a degree...from a reputable university.
why take a qualification again when you have it already?
Perhaps can try SIM and achieve a degree instead of a diploma.
jus my thoughts.
When you refer to the tuition grant, I suppose you talking about another poly diploma?
If I am not mistaken, these are the scenerios. I am very sure of it when I graduated years back but not sure if things have changed much.
poly dip - 1 grant
spec/ adv dip - 1 grant
uni - 1 grant
So if you think of getting another grant, jump into spec/adv dip or uni unstead of a dip. And You may consider another field of study.
Well, the course I'm talking about would be Nursing and as I've done my research, most of the courses acknowledged by the Nursing Board are from Nanyang, Ngee Ann and NUS. So if I can't get into NUS, that means I have to llst then...:S

Private ones that are recognised by the nursing board include those awarded by SIM-UOS, and uni of curtin.
Well I did look at the requirements and you have to be a registerened nurse first.I'm already thinking of signing on if things don't work out too well :-/

ya, why waste time and effort on another ah ma when you can spend it on a degree ans start working.
Sorry guys another question.
Let's say I want to take up a sponsorship from hospitals as I cannot use my Tuition Grant. How much does that sponsorship cover my full school fees?
