Hello everyone!
I really need help here, because I want to know how many percent is the assurance that my tuition grant application will be successful?
Could someone please tell me a story of anyone who failed in tuition grant and what are the common reasons for failing?
And could someone tell me out of 100 applicants for tuition grant, how many percent is the usual number of students who got successful in application?
Thank you so much.!
go ask MOE
to my knowledge, if you are a citizen + first time applicant, it is 100%
100% can get
They just want you to apply for it that's all.
Thank you very much for the replies!
I'm not yet PR and I'm not a citizen, is it going to affect my application?
I'm an international student, my father is PR and I got accepted in Temasek, and I really really want to know if 100% can get tuition grant.
Thank you so much!
If you are not a citizen, nor a pr, chances are going to be much much lower than a few months back.
aw...........
but I'm eligible though. Do most international students fail in tuition grant? :(
There used to be alot alot, until it pissed alot alot of people off, and then things changed.
What do you mean things changed? If you don't mind, could you give me advices regarding entering Polytechnics? Since I don't really have the money to pay FULL tuition fees, so I need tuition grant. :(
I don't think anyone could give you a definite answer then from the result of the application itself. But if you are a citizen, its a guranteed thing.
Why things changed? Because there are some foreign students blacksheeps who take tuition grants (bond is to work in Sg for 3 years), and then escape back to their home countries, breaking their bonds, and depriving local students of good money which can be used in places like book grants.
There's even a case where a foreign student got his teacher to be his guarantor for an A-star scholarship, to study overseas, and then break the bond. The poor teacher had to cough up a large sum of money because of that.
How can anyone be sure you won't turn out like that?
