I think the sentence is likely to be quite strong, as a deterance and to set an example. Possibly death penalty for mudering someone or heavy jail sentence. If the sentence is light, I got a feeling these youths will hao lian thinking they have won. Won as in killed someone and just serve a light sentence slap backside and start a new life. So we shall see, whether these youths win or Singapore justice win... -

Well put Essential,without a gang these pathetic individuals would have nothing to do. They are too pathetic to actually accomplish anything on their own. Nobody respects them wo they join a gang so at least some people will fear them. They don't as a rule have any hobbies or interests making them quite boring and bored
