Sophisticated PRC Chinese show their style in Japan

To those who think Singaporeans are poorly mannered (well, SIngaporeans are, but...), have a read of this excerpt of the first two paragraphs from this article from The Economist Nov 20 2010:
Friends and neighbours.
-----------------------Walk into the inn in the Hokkiado village of Akanko, and everything from the welcomeing cry of "irasshaimase" to the taciturn old man grilling chicken on the fire seems quintessentially Japanese. Until, that is, you hear all the customers speaking Mandarin. The Chinese have flocked to this area since it provided some of the settings for a 2008 Chinese blockbuster comedy, "If You are the One".
The local Japanese were shocked when the early arrivals used the onsen, or spas, to do the unthinkable: they washed their clothes in the hot tubs. There is still some tut-tutting about Chinese customs- the elbows on the table, the lack of familiarity with flushing loos- but if not for these visitors, the tourist trade in the area would be half dead.

don;t compare Singapore chinese with china chinese. i am glad or forefathers made the decision to come south. now more of them also wanna come south. if their country really can provide everything for them like japan they still need to come south? of course lah i mean businesses. china brands will take more decades and maybe centuries to buy up the trust reputation to be world power. see the brands around. sadly most are originated from US, japan, europe blahblah, only MADE IN CHINA

first i need to say this.they came here cos singapore is a safer place.pls read more b4 u say this.china had been closing their trades for decades since qin dynasty.(CAN WE SINGAPORE DO THAT WITHOUT TRADE?)so do u think they have everything?i always read newspaper ,western said they like to live in singapore because here is more safe to go out at night.he also said my country is good and more fun, but here is safe,i rather be in a safe place than fun.if u read enough news or watch news. u will find that china now is trying very hard to make(MADE IN CHINA) a good and better brand.is jus like their ARMY,they only took around 20 years to catch up USA.

chinese are born brawlers, trouble makers. that's why they dispite their stupidity take a long twenty years to build a n army like you wrote. as for other thing sthey did good for the time i only need to sleep and wake up the next morning is beeing cheap. theya re cheap.don;t read too much news. they can be choreographed.

20 years is fast. singapore bought submarine from usa and put at their country wtf.and chinese is nt trouble maker. is the brownie and blackie haha. don't u agree with me? or u are brownie and blackie urself. i guess most ppl will agree with me

buy weapons, recruit peopl with money from cheena's cheap and fast economy taxing their millions and billion sof population a few years can build one army already no need 20 yrs. with money and lots of it anythin also can silly boy. what the cheena army needd is skills experience. of course they have years of them - in their civil war but simple japanese also cannot defeat that's the worse in a nationa's chapters of history. but civil war very good.i am chinee, and if you define chinese as only from china is wrng. chinese are every where and many chinese are glad they their fathers bailed out. even if economy very good there now u think overseas chinese will go back? singapore has a chines epopulation. and i am one of them who is a unique chinese from a country call SINGAPORE.
put submarine there good for training. learn fro us army. also sg so small when in war we move out, we so small you think we keep all our resources here meh? if war we launch from multiple locations lah silly. like that you think people will not think twice before attacking meh?
no wonder people like you smell cheena army like perfume fart. you can have all the army hardware but with no true combat experience cheena is good as sitting ducks. now got show to see cheena putting NK in front and US bcking SK behind. the war must be cheena instaiagte 1

Well, there are always black sheep among every country. Most Mainland Chinese are better than the others but the few.. the article highlights their ignorance.
Anyway, in Singapore, we can be pretty unique in some sense. Culture differs from country to country so who's to judge?
